Travel
I have been lucky enough to travel a fair amount (I'll admit, not as much as some people!) - either for holidays, weekends away, stag dos, weddings, and our honeymoon.
I've been to a variety of places, including many UK areas, a lot of Europe, and further afield including a fantastic trip to New Zealand. Many of the earlier trips were beer related, including long long nights going round the many bars of Antwerp, Stuttgart, Munich, Amsterdam and Paris. More recently (the 'married' years), I've been to sunnier destinations - which has to include Tenerife, Ibiza Island and Minorca.
I'm now at the age where most of my mates are married - so I've been on a fair few stag dos. Some local, some further affield - the longest trek being a weekend in Las Vegas, and the most profitable being horse racing in Edinburgh (pure luck!). The humble stag do of a few beers down the local seems to have been overtaken by weekends away, travelling to sometimes unusual destinations - but there's always an Irish bar...!
But by far my favourite trip was our honeymoon - spending nearly 4 weeks in New Zealand - travelling around the South Island, then across the North Island to Auckland and a final few days in the Bay of Islands. It was a long long flight, but well worth it (flying isn't my favourite form of travel!).
